Looking for a way to release some tension or simply have some fun?

Urban Axe Throwing has become increasingly popular in Wales and we like to brag that we were the first to offer it when we first launched our Cardiff premises in 2019. Whether you’re looking for a few hours of feeling like an absolute boss or spending some time with a partner, family, friends or colleagues, we guarantee that a session at Lumberjack Axe Throwing is going to get your adrenaline pumping and friendly competition flowing. We’ll guide you through a safety demonstration and even throw in a trick or two before letting you loose for some epic competition, so what are you waiting for? It’s time to sharpen your axes!

TESTIMONIALS

Where are you located?

We are located just off of Newport Road in Cardiff and can be found using the below address in Google Maps:

Unit 7, St Catherines Park, Cardiff, CF24 2RZ

How old do you need to be?

Children 10 years old and above are welcome to throw at our ranges, but those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Is it Safe?

All sports come with an element of risk however here at Lumberjack safety is our main priority. In the history of our business we’ve never had a serious injury because of the axes, and just to be safe, all of our instructors are first aid trained. You’ll also receive a full safety briefing before stepping into the range with the axes.

Where can I park?

St Catherines park has plenty of free parking on site with a maximum stay of 3 hours. There are also lots of spaces right outside our front door, so if a person in your party requires more accessible parking please let us know beforehand so we can make your experience as accessible as possible.

How many people can come?

We have 4 ranges in Cardiff and we recommend no more than 6 people to a range to ensure you each get enough throwing time. If you have more than 6 people in your party, we recommend booking additional ranges to accommodate for the amount of people coming. For larger bookings, please contact us to arrange.

What should I wear?

We love a good fashion statement here at Lumberjack, but all we ask is that you wear closed toe shoes and avoid heels as your safety is important to us (and there’s nothing fashionable about an injury!).
